Magdalene Graversen was born September 29, 1875 at Nordestgaard in Tim, 6th child and 3rd daughter of Else and Jens Christian Graversen. She died March 5, 1960 in Hanning. She married November 10, 1903 in Tim Kirke Morten Madsen, born November 11, 1879 as the son of Mette and Ib Madsen, Vorgod. Morten died January 18, 1963 at the County Hospital in Ringkøbing. The marriage was dissolved in 1925.
Magdalene was buried in the cemetery in Brejning. Morten was buried in the cemetery in Rindum.

Elvira tells about her memories of her parents: I know that mother and father moved around Vorgod, Nr. Virum and then to Randbæk near Spj. Mother has told me that father was often out helping with construction work and especially slaughtering in their heyday.
I can only remember very little from when mother and father were together. In 1925, mother moved to an apartment with trucker Kristian Johannesen in Tim town, after which she moved to a house in Opsund in 1936. When her health failed, she moved to Vorgod Hvilehjem in the mid-40s, and then lived for a while in the old Skjern rectory, which was then used as a nursing home. In 1956, she came to Hanning Alderdomshjem, where she enjoyed the best care until her death on March 4, 1960. When she moved to Tim in 1925, she had Jens and me with her. Jens later came out to serve with our cousins, Dagmar and Jens Jensen in Vedersø, where he stayed after his confirmation. I first came out to serve the summer I turned 10, and then every summer for confirmation.

The website received the family picture from Lilly Rabjerg (5.6.3). It is estimated to be from around 1904. Lilly got the picture from her cousin, Klara Jensen (5.3.2), with the aim of putting it on the website. Klara's mother, Else Kirstine Madsen (5.3), tried to explain who the people in the picture are.
Subsequently, Holger Nordestgaard (7.2.1) has tried to get birth data, etc., using the church books in Assing and Vorgod parishes. It is a very exciting picture, as the sons of the main characters in the picture married two sisters who were daughters of Else Kirstine and Jens Christian Graversen in Nordestgaard in Tim.
The main characters in the picture are Ib Madsen and Mette Michelsen. We see them in the picture in the middle of the second row. The church register in Vorgod parish states, "that on March 31, 1865, bachelor and farmhand Ib Madsen (41) and girl Mette Michelsen (22 years old) were married in Vorgod church. The bride serves with the groom." We are informed here that Ib is a farmhand in Assing parish, and that Mette serves with him, and that the wedding takes place in Vorgod. Therefore, it is likely that Mette comes from Vorgod and probably came to Ib as a housekeeper.
The couple's first six children were born and baptized in Assing, before the family broke up on August 9, 1874 and left Assing parish to become a farmhand family on Vorgod heath. We also learn about the age of the bride and groom, including that Ib is 41 years old, and thus born in 1824. We can therefore guess that the whole family gathered for Ib's 80th birthday in 1904 and was photographed on that occasion.
In the church record for Rind parish on 29 September 1911: "Ib Madsen, died 29 September 1911 in Orneborg in Rind parish, buried on 6 October 1911. He was a farmer of Ornebo Rind parish, born in Assing, where his parents, Mads Christensen and Johanne Jacobsdatter were farmers." In the same church record it is stated on 28 March 1920: "Mette Mikkelsen, died March 28, 1920 Mette and Ib's gravestone is still in the cemetery in Rind. It is now more than 100 years old, and according to the latest conservation regulations, it may not be removed from the cemetery.

Jens Nordestgaard Madsen, Damtoften 28, Ringkjøbing, has died, aged 79. Jens Nordestgaard Madsen married Ellen Guldberg Lauritsen in 1947, and on that occasion they bought a farm in Randbæk near Spjald. They ran it together until 1965, when they sold it because his boots failed.
The couple moved to Grønnegade in Ringkjøbing and lived there until 1971. Then they sold and moved to Damtoften 27, from where they moved to Damtoften 28 5 years later. From the time they came to Ringkjøbing until 1989, Jens had a lovely allotment garden in the 1912 Association, which he put his heart and soul into. He was very well-liked there, and there was always time for a chat. If someone or something needed a hand, they could always count on Jens, but in 1989 his legwear didn't really work anymore. Jens had to sell the bright spot of his life. However, he couldn't do without soil under his nails, so the balcony in Damtoften was always filled with flowers.
Apart from his legs, Jens was healthy to the end. He had even had a new hip operated on and was looking forward to using it, but it was not to be, because he slept peacefully in his home the morning after he returned from the hospital.
Jens Nordestgaard Madsen leaves behind his wife Ellen and six children, four daughters in Ringkjøbing, Hørning, Velling and Videbæk, and two sons in Silkeborg and Søndervig.

Married 13 September 1997 to Søren Peder Sørensen, born 16 September 1938 as son of Mathilde and Hermann Peder Sørensen. Grethe was buried in the cemetery in Ringkøbing. 1 child:

6.6.2.1 Henrik Nordestgaard Madsen born April 18, 1967 in Esbjerg died July 20, 2006 at Aalborg Hospital. Married on April 10, 1997 to Karina Lindberg, born July 7, 1970, the daughter of Kirsten and Claus Lindberg. Karina died October 17, 2001.
Henrik was trained as a clerk at A/S Niels Hansens Motorkompagni in Ringkøbing in 1988. After his military service, he was employed as a constable in the Air Force, where he was further trained as a driving instructor. Henrik worked as a driving instructor at Central Driving School Midtjylland at Skive Barracks. He taught, among other things, for cars, trucks and trailers, i.e. categories B, C, D and E.
On 1 February 2004, Henrik was elected to the city council in Karup for the Danish People's Party.

When Henrik died in 2006, the following obituary was published in Ugeavisen Karup:
It came as a shock to everyone that city council member for the Danish People's Party, Henrik Nordestgaard Madsen, died suddenly on Thursday last week without any previous illness at the age of 39.
Henrik N. Madsen was born in Esbjerg, but grew up in Ringkøbing, where after finishing school he was trained as an office assistant at Ford in Ringkøbing.
Conscription brought him to Karup Air Force Station, and he continued his active career in the military, where he trained as a driving instructor. Here he got his job at Skive barracks, and later he had a private driving school, a job that he greatly appreciated, and he gladly took an extra turn to tell schoolchildren about driving in traffic.
Henrik was politically involved in the Danish People's Party, and he stood for election in the 2001 municipal election. In the 2005 election, he stood for election for a seat in Viborg metropolitan municipality, but he was not elected here.
Henrik had the grief of losing his wife five years ago. The couple had no children, but when Henrik later had a partner with three children, he took the three children in as his own. Henrik N. Madsen had no siblings, but leaves behind his parents, who still live in Ringkøbing, and his former partner and her three children.

Else Kirstine Jensen “Stinne,” born June 2, 1915 in Vorgod. Stinne celebrated her 90th birthday on June 2, 2005. The party was held on June 4 at Odder Parkhotel, together with her entire family and a number of friends. Stinne is still “a lively old lady,” whose great passion is bridge, and again this year she was able to place first in the local bridge club. Stinne is also able to enjoy her many descendants, which include 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. The entire family, including husbands, wives, partners, and “grandchildren,” now numbers 62 people. We meet regularly as a family, and the Christmas Day party in particular is a popular event, requiring us 5 children to take turns renting a party room to ensure there is room for everyone. At Christmas time 2014, Hans Eigil wrote to the website as follows:
One of the events in 2014 was that our mother, Else Kirstine Madsen, turned 99. We have the joy in the family that all five children are still alive.
Mother managed at home on Rådhusgade in Odder until October 2, 2014, when she moved to a nursing home. Mother is still mentally sound, but uses a walker to get around. We therefore expect that we will all be able to celebrate mother's 100th birthday on June 2, 2015.

When Else Kirstine turned 101 in 2016, Hans Eigil wrote the following to the website:
Stine lives at the nursing home Skovbakkehjemmet in Odder. She was surrounded by her 5 children and their spouses on her birthday. All the children are now pensioners. Our mother is almost blind, but her head works very well, and her memory is certainly not faulty.
The family is growing steadily, and now it is the great-great-grandchildren who count in the accounts. The family (Stinne and Hans Erhard's descendants) is approaching 70 members.

Former shoemaker Thorvald Madsen, Hasselvej 7, Spjald, has died aged 77. Thorvald Madsen died just three days after his 77th birthday. He was born in Vorgod, but spent most of his life in Spjald.
As a boy, he lived in Randbæk and attended the then Højmose School. He went out to work and continued for a few years as a peasant in the countryside and with hard work in the lignite mines in Randbæk, before he took an apprenticeship as a shoemaker. When he had completed his apprenticeship, he got his own business at Hovedgaden 79 in Spjald, and with his wife Kamma as an assistant in the business, things went well. However, a bad heart and a back problem put an end to his work as a shoemaker far too early, and in 19 Kamma and Thorvald Madsen moved to the new house on Hasselvej, where his best hours were spent creating a lovely garden.
For Thorvald Madsen, hospitality, honesty and joy of life were key words. He was a good man and in his family, and he managed to enjoy four grandchildren, whom he cared about very much. He leaves a big void in the home. In addition to his wife, Kamma, Thorvald Madsen leaves behind a daughter in Timring and a son in Odense, as well as four grandchildren.3 children:

He then travelled to Sweden, where he got a job at a machine shop. In Sweden, Hans Erik's great interest in cars began, and he began his own car import business.
About 25 years ago, he founded ådum Autoophug, which he sold to his brother-in-law, Kurt Henriksen, and Jørgen Nielsen a few years later. Hans Erik then started his own car dealership in Skjern.
Hans Erik married Letty from ølgod 26 years ago, and the couple celebrated their silver wedding anniversary last year.
